Family Fun & Fitness

There are very few activities where entire families can learn a new skill together. Join the many families and groups that have learned to Stand Up Paddle with us. It will be the highlight of your vacation on the OBX!

North Duck Watersports Location

We are frequently asked for directions to our North Duck Watersports (NDWS) facility. This is the location for our lessons. Boards are also available for hourly, daily, 3-day and weekly rentals. Please call us in advance at 252-305-3639 to schedule a lesson or for board rental information.

If driving from the south, NDWS is located 2.5 miles north of the Duck water tower. Look for the green sign. If driving from the north it is about 1.5 miles past the Sanderling Inn.

Best SUP Location on the OBX

Our North Duck Watersports location has been significantly improved for 2012. Major renovations were necessary after the heavy damage caused by Hurricane Irene. Wide open views, knee deep calm water make learning how to SUP a safe and enjoyable experience for paddlers of all ages.

2012 SUP Season Underway

Another winter gone by! Michele and I were fortunate to have the chance to visit our daughter on the Gold Coast of Australia and to catch a few waves. The beaches are amazing and SUP is very popular.
